Bibhas Roy is a Fellowship trained specialist shoulder and elbow surgeon In Manchester. Working in Manchester University Foundation Trust, one of the largest in the UK, he is the clinical lead for the Manchester Shoulder and Elbow unit with 7 surgeons making it one of the largest units in the UK. He is also the clinical lead for elective services in Trafford Hospital. His specialist practice now includes a broad range of shoulder and elbow problems, from Major Trauma in Manchester Royal infirmary (level 1 Major Trauma Center) to elective cases in Trafford Hospital

He is on the HSJ's inaugural Top Healthcare innovators list in 2013.
He has pioneered the use of PROMs 2.0 an outcome collection method that automates clinical workflow based on outcomes analysis
He is currently leading a project on using 'exergames' to complement standard shoulder rehabilitation for shoulder surgery patients

Areas of Practice
After completing Orthopaedic training from Yorkshire Deanery, Bibhas completed a 12 month Sub-specialist Fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery from Nottingham Shoulder Unit, working with Professor Angus Wallace and Mr Lars Neumann.
He has been a consultant surgeon since 2006
