Bibhas Roy

Bibhas Roy is a Fellowship trained specialist shoulder and elbow surgeon In Manchester. Working in Manchester University Foundation Trust, one of the largest in the UK, he is the clinical lead for the Manchester Shoulder and Elbow unit with 7 surgeons making it one of the largest units in the UK. He is also the clinical lead for elective services in Trafford Hospital. His specialist practice now includes a broad range of shoulder and elbow problems, from Major Trauma in Manchester Royal infirmary (level 1 Major Trauma Center) to elective cases in Trafford Hospital

Academic Qualifications

  1. MBBS 1993 (Basic Medical Degree)

  2. FRCS 1997, Glasgow (Basic surgical degree required for specilaist training)

  3. MSc (Eng), 2000 – Leeds University (Bioengineering)

  4. FRCS (Tr & Orth) 2005 (Exit exam for Completion of Orthopaedic Training )

  5. PG DMI (RCSEd) 2006 (Post Graduate Diploma in Medical informatics from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh)
